Pros & Cons
The amazing support network around me
Having a variety of trainers and personalities taking us through various modules of work. Having the opportunity to discuss potential growth strategies with all staff.
The training and people
The inclusive environment
FDM and the client I’m currently placed with encourage us to learn more and take more responsibility in our daily working life. Encourage us to communicate and interact with other people.
Everyone is online
Sometimes, I don't feel like part of the overall community due to a lack of communication across multiple departments and a lack of interaction with vital departments related to my role.
Living away from my family.

Progression will most likely occur with clients. Potential to merge with them and progress through them or stay with FDM and mentor new consultants while also working with clients.
Company culture is fairly relaxed during hours and people are able to bring up ideas freely. Work culture after hours is non-existent (possibly due to covid) aside from trainees organising something outside of work hours together.
My role is a Business Analysis and Scrum Master. My responsibilities are: monitor and track our workflow by using Jira and Confluence in order to make sure we can deliver our features on time and efficiently. Host all scrum ceremonies each week in order to get updates and feedback from team members, also try my best to solve their impediments if they mentioned. Dependency solving is another key part of our work which allows us to solve co-dependency issues with other teams.
In depth training about pro skills (interviewing, email writing, people skills, presenting), SQL, bash scripting, Unix commands and extensive Java development fundamentals.
