Junior staff tend to socialise more after hours then senior staff (which is normal in my opinion)

The Melbourne office is quite young and I socialise with a number of my colleagues after hours. Everyone is very approachable and friendly. Within the Australian offices, the structure is very flat - everyone talks to each other and there is no noticeable hierarchy day to day. However the American influence is noticeable and is very different to the culture in the Australian offices.

We are a very friendly firm with a significant level of cross-practice group collaboration. Hours are generally pretty reasonable for a law firm. Socialising is highly encouraged.

It is a strictly hierarchical workplace but even people at the 'bottom' of the hierarchy have their voices heard. Among younger employees there is a fair amount of socialisation, people want each other to do well and support each other.

The culture is very positive, motivating and team oriented. It is very transparent and all colleagues irrespective of role/title/seniority are approachable and very friendly.

Everyone is very friendly - from the support and office services staff to the lawyers and partners. It is a collegial atmosphere with a true open door policy. The firm has a good range of social activities and a generous Friday night drinks program. Teams are very collaborative within themselves.

The culture is reasonable. Juniors are trusted to do the work necessary, and are afforded some space to do so. The working environment is extremely collaborative (particularly between different practice groups and different offices). There is a reasonably social culture amongst the Brisbane office, limited by the smaller number of staff.

We have a very flat management system where everyone has direct contact with partners and work with them on a daily basis. Our office is a very family friendly, open environment where I have always enjoyed working. We have fortnightly Friday night drinks and socialise on a regular basis after hours.

The company feels like it has a relatively flat hierarchy. Senior staff are usually very approachable and make time for career conversations and take time to invest in juniors' learning. Teams work well together and share expertise on different projects. After hours I really enjoy the company of my colleagues at events like Friday night drinks, scavenger hunts, charity events and themed social club event for Christmas, Oktoberfest etc. I love that there is a contingent of young lawyers that invest in spending time together after working hours.

The culture is casual and relaxed. I find all of my co-workers friendly and sociable and one of the reasons I enjoy work is due to the people I work with. The hierarchy is relatively flat and I have never been made to feel intimidated or lesser than anyone I work with.
