Training sessions are offered regularly, however some managers do not allow you to go.
Both formal and informal training programs are excellent.
There are numerous training programs and opportunities held throughout the year
first week of induction training is key to understanding systems and processes. Training on the job is often guided by team members and buddies which is very helpful in developing legal skills.
There are reasonable training opportunities, including various in-house seminars and invitations to external presentations covering areas such as ethics, developing areas of law and basic skills.
The training programs can at times feel a little repetitive and not as innovative as I would personally like.
We have information session about a broad range of legal issues as well as other issues affecting our industry such as mental health or broader corporate or financial issues. I have learnt skills about time management, goal setting, mindfulness, career advancement as a woman in the legal sector as well as substantive legal knowledge from various CLE sessions.
The commercial drafting sessions which were conducted with just the graduates and a partner in a relaxed setting were very helpful and applicable to the tasks I was given.
