Usually 2 rounds of interviews, one with HR and a senior associate, and one with HR and a partner.
Midlevel, Sydney
First you are required to do a video assessment, which is a program that asks you questions and then films your response. If you are successful, there is normally a graduate breakfast where you meet the other candidates and get to chat to some of the Sparke employees. Then there are two rounds of in person interviews.
Graduate, Sydney
What questions were you asked in your interviews?
A mixture of personality and legally based questions.
Graduate, Sydney
Why Sparke? Why did you decide to study law? What was your favourite/least favourite subject and why?
Midlevel, Sydney
The first interview is more general, and second is more technical. Common questions come up in the first interview such as "provide an example where you displayed teamwork" or "what are your greatest strengths/weaknesses" etc. Second interview involves questions around hypothetical scenarios that requires you to explain how you would respond.

Do you have any specific tips and advice for candidates applying to your company? How would you recommend they best prepare?
Be candid and personable. Answer questions based on what you believe, rather than what you think the right answer is.
Graduate, Sydney
It goes without saying but be yourself. Approach the interview as if its a conversation rather than a Q&A.
Graduate, Sydney
Sparkes prioritises people, so a lot of your interview will be about you and your experiences. Have examples ready of times when you demonstrated leadership, solved a conflict, etc., etc.
Graduate, Sydney
The questions that you ask towards the end of the interview may be more important than you think as they can really show your personality and leave the interviewers with a strong impression of who you are. Consider including a question that helps you get to know the interviewers.
Midlevel, Sydney
Be confident, and personable. Don't just give answers you think the interviewers want to hear - they will see right through that. Don't be afraid to ask for clarification if you didn't understand the question!
