WSP supports diverse environment, like having LGBT group, equal employment for both genders.
Committed to improving gender diversity.
Geotechnical group is working hard to recruit more female engineers in our field. However, I believe we are not working hard enough to appeal geotechnical to more female undergraduates.
My team is lacking females and I wish there are more.
Respectful work culture. Good focus on diversity at all stages. Good paternity leave options. Promotion is purely based on one's experience and skills, as far as I have seen.
There are many awareness events and recruitment drives for equality. Good overall. I can't provide details on every single question otherwise this survey is going to take forever since it's so long. My company scores well in every item listed in the question, with decisions coming from the CEO.
There are strong initiatives and goals within the company surrounding diversity, with specific LGBT, gender and indigenous company wide initiatives.
There is a push to having equal gender employment and I have not had or heard of any issues regarding ethic minorities etc.
They are really good about advertising acceptance and there are diversity networks within the company such as the diversity committee and an LGBTQI network, which regularly run events.
They encourage us to join activities in support to Women's Day or LGBT movements/activities.
They offer a larger referral bonus if your candidate is a woman vs. man. I'm not sure about the recruitment ethics of they type of program.
This is the engineering sector - there is a diversity issue. especially male to female retention and recruitment. However I can't speak too much to this because my team is 90% female, with only 2 men in leadership positions, so I am surrounded by a commitment to retention and promotion of diversity, especially when it comes to mat leave and childcare. but I can see the disparity when working alongside certain engineering teams.
WSP has a Diversity and Inclusion society who are dedicated to ensuring that WSP staff feel comfortable. WSP has had a steady rate of increased female employees and are continuing to actively recruit females in the business. In my short time here, I have seen two female employees successfully complete maternity leave who have been retained and are back happily working.
WSP is makes a conscious effort with respect to diversity and inclusion principles and practices. The company holds frequent events to celebrate diversity and encourage participation and education regarding gaps in diversity and inclusion in our society. There is no culture of discrimination or judgement whatsoever.
WSP work hard to have an inclusive and diverse work force and provide support for all workers.
