What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Salary is quite average and no opportunity for bonuses.
Graduate, Melbourne
A freeze on raises/promotions has been in place since COVID lockdowns began, and as such my role and pay are well out of whack. Bonuses are non-existent for my level. The following pay is total package, inclusive of 9.5% superannuation.
Graduate, Sydney
Base pay is fine. Bonuses for higher ups. Yearly salary reviews
Graduate, Melbourne
Bonuses and overtime do not tend to happen. However the pay is quite good.
Graduate, Brisbane
Bonuses are awarded and I think it's nice to be recognised. However I didn't pick my company for the pay - I find that choosing a job you enjoy will always be more rewarding than any money they offer.
Graduate, QLD
Heavily compensated for the role deadlines play in my role. salary checks occur at the end of each year, which focus on ensuring hard work does not go unnoticed, through raises.
Graduate, Brisbane
I have not received any bonuses. My pay is well now, prior to that as an intern it was not enough.
Graduate, Melbourne
I'm reasonably happy with my salary. I have an annual salary review, and overall it's good. Could be more, but then again it could also be less.
Graduate, Sydney
Not receiving a bonus. I believe that the remuneration should be based on the responsibility taken.
Graduate, Brisbane
Standard tier 1 engineering consultant pay.
Graduate, Brisbane
The intern rate is just minimum wage. Other companies offer higher rates, and intern salary review. Your base salary is dependent on your available hours. The graduate rate depends on your department, for transport the rate is quite competitive. Bonuses are generally for the higher positions (associates and up). There is a yearly salary review (for CPI) for permanent staff. Interns, who are on casual contracts, are not included in this.
Graduate, Sydney
The pay structure is reasonable with regular pay reviews according to progression and ability.
Midlevel, Perth
The salary is what is expected for a graduate level position.
Graduate, Brisbane
When I was on my undergrad days, I always think that engineers get good pay. Reality is not. However, I think what they pay me is fair enough compared to other companies. It's just that with all the bills, condo rent, etc. in the metro manila, I think a higher compensation would be suitable. I also think that there should be 2 bonuses per year.
Midlevel, Adelaide
WSP pays an above-average salary for graduates. Salary growth is offered through annual salary reviews and when staff have reached the criteria for progression onto the next title.
Intern, Brisbane
Your pay is dependent on your team's prosperity in the business and not scaled with how hard you and your team work. For example, mid level TAP Engineers gets paid approximately 7% to 10% higher than mid level Geotechnical Engineers. Most graduates and mid level geotechnical engineers work as site engineers/contractors-alike with physical labour and long working hours but we are paid less than contractors on site and significantly less than other sit-in-the-office engineers. As far as I know, WSP does not have bonuses for employees but we get inflation increase like every other company does for their employees.
